Field weekend to Nokomai 9th and 10th September 2017

  

Saturday 9th

10am- 10.45am Free     Morning Tea At Garston Hotel – Welcome

10.45am-12pm             Annual General Meeting

12pm   $20       Lunch at the Garston Hotel

Afternoon        $5 for the driver if you don’t have your own 4WD. Pile into the 4WDs (Leave 2WDs at the Hotel) and go exploring Nokomai Station.  Local guides will accompany.

6.30pm $30       Dinner back at The Garston Hotel

7.30pm             Guest Speaker Rex Johnson presenting the story of the Copeland family – From Scotland to Nokomai and dispersement. 

Sunday 10th

8am     (free if staying at the Hotel) $14           Breakfast at Garston Hotel

8.45am             Rex Johnson presentation on the Copland family history of the area

9.15am             Visiting sites if interest including the Garston Cemetery, old stone cottages…

10.15am           provided          Morning Tea on the new cycle trail swing bridges.

                       

12.30pm           Pay your own.  Lunch to be confirmed… might be at Mandeville… it will no doubt be interesting!

                       

            $30 (Members)

$50 (Non Members)     Admin fee for the weekend… goes towards looking after the guest speakers and some of Terry’s fuel and time…
