2021 Queenstown AGM and Field Trip

Saturday 16th October 2021

Meet 8.45am at the bottom of Coronet Peak road. Free parking here. Bus leaves 9am – seats must be pre-booked. You can self drive your own 4WD with good clearance – When Terry went in there back in August the road was very muddy and rutted.

In the Skippers we will be focusing on the ‘museum’ set up created by our own OGHT member Winky Hohneck by the Pipeline footbridge. (Commercial base of Skippers Jetboats).

Morning tea and lunch provided. After lunch, 4WD’s will take those who want to up to the DOC site of the old school on the other side of the Skippers Bridge (the bus can’t get over the bridge).

The bus will leave Winky’s place about 4pm so you are back at your cars by 5pm. You will have time to quickly check in to your accommodation before dinner at 6pm.

The AGM is scheduled for 7pm to accommodate our leader who is rushing back from Stewart Island just for the meeting.

Sunday morning, 9.20am we will meet at the bowling clubrooms in Queenstown Gardens for a presentation by the Queenstown and Districts Historical Society  ‘Meet 4 people from Queenstown’s Past.’ We will finish with morning tea and some time to chat with the speakers before heading off for a walk around the CBD.

Final part of the day is lunch at Wild Thyme at Sky City before we disperse on our own way home…

If you would like to come along please fill out the form here. (you can indicate which parts of the weekend you’d like to attend, you don’t have to do everything)
